Adopt this dog right now!

It’s a happy ending that wasn’t supposed to happen for a big eared, doe-eyed beagle.

Now, the dog that was found as a stray in Alabama and defied death, is searching for a new home.

Three weeks ago, the beagle was euthanized along with 18 otherdogs at an overcrowded animal shelter in Florence, Ala., on Oct. 3.

But to the shock of everyone he somehow survived.

When the animal control officer in charge of the operation returned to the locked chamber he found the dog waiting at the door, wagging its tail. The other dogs were dead.

His amazing survival has attracted several charitable groups to come to his aid to make sure he isn’t sent back into the gas chamber. He found a temporary home in Tennessee with Karen Rudolph, who runs Schnauzer Savers Rescue of West Tennessee with her husband Michael.

This dog is such a legend. All the other dogs are sniffing gas and he just holds his breath and waits until the doors open up, then wags his tail. This is the kind of dog who will rescue his owners from a burning building, or bite a prowler or something like that. He needs to go to a good home now. Or, even better, put out to stud.

PPW was just a simple idea. It was a slogan we lived by, especially during the off-season. Whether training in the weight room, skating at the rink, or stickhandling in the garage, we all reminded ourselves of our hockey future and goals with one simple slogan: Prove People Wrong. For all of us throughout our careers, there were doubters at every level, and there always will be. As the summer progressed and the slogan ‘PPW’ drove us more and more, we realized this simple slogan could push people to succeed at any part of one’s life. Everyone during their life will be told no. Here at PPW, though, we believe that the only one that can tell you what you can or cannot do is yourself. For us four we all had one simple goal: to play college hockey. We wear PPW bracelets to remind ourselves that success is in our own hands, not anyone else’s. We’re just simple guys that are driven by a simple slogan in order to make us the best we can be. So whatever your next goal is, go get it. Don’t let anyone tell you otherwise, because as we believe here at PPW, success is a choice.

It’s not too late to get your PPW breast cancer awareness t shirt even though October is coming to a close. PPW stands for a great cause and is blowing up in New England. Get yours today and be a part of the movement!

Salisbury hockey commit travels north-south

This is a pretty interesting article on Thomas Welsh from Salisbury. He recently committed to play at Penn State. Unlike some recent US players who have left prep to play in Canada, Welsh is a Canadian who is playing prep in the US.
